Good news! There will always be more Sonorella to discover, if that's your sort of thing.
There are an awful lot of snails that look like Sonorella superstitionis out there. Molecular evidence using mtCOI and mt12S from this study groups snails that minimally include the already described S. s. superstitionis and S. s. taylori in agreement with comparative anatomy study by Miller. Collecting has produced a flotilla of undescribed species. This complex is a subset of a larger group that includes S. allynsmithi and S. rooseveltiana. S. rooseveltiana fragilis is real, which is contra to Miller 1967, and even more interesting, nests directly within the S. superstitionis complex as I envision it at present. More work is needed, of course, and there is a lot of collecting to do to improve taxon coverage. I am thankful that we live in an age where so many closely related forms occur nearby.
This body of work will wind up in a paper.
